
Jessica Beckman
M.A., LCMHC, LCAS, NCC
Jessica received her Master of Arts degree in 2009 from Appalachian State University in Community Counseling with a concentration in Addictions Counseling. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC # 252891) and dually licensed as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of North Carolina (License #7745) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist in the State of North Carolina (License #1692). Jessica has been a practicing counselor for the last 7 years in a variety of settings. She began her work as a substance abuse counselor in a community agency offering group and individual therapy. She then worked with college students experiencing a wide range of concerns including mental health and substance abuse issues. She also has experience working as a Mental Health and Substance Abuse Care Coordinator for a managed care organization linking and engaging high risk populations to outpatient services. Her most recent experience comes from working on a dual diagnosis unit at an inpatient behavioral health hospital. Her services include individual counseling for adolescents and adults. Jessica’s therapeutic approach is Person Centered and based on the individual’s needs. However, other notable theoretical approaches that Jessica utilizes include Cognitive Behavioral, Adlerian, Solution-Focused, Dialectical Behavioral, and Reality therapies and techniques.
