
Jennifer Kiszely-Ainbinder
MS, LCMHC, NCC
Jennifer received her Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 1995. Jennifer is a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC #8318) approved by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (NCBLPC). She provides individual and couples services.
Multifaceted career experiences have allowed Jennifer to work with a diverse population of clients, their families, and significant others since 1995. Her current practice is focused on individuals, and adolescents who struggle with a wide variety of life challenges ranging from life transitional issues: separation/divorce, unemployment, and career/economic-related distress, to depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, persistent mental illness, personality disorders, and post-traumatic stress.
Early career experiences included five years of providing emotional and supportive counseling with hospice patients and their families, as they faced end-of-life issues, loss, and grief (bereavement) counseling. Opportunities to gain experience in the treatment of memory disorders and other issues related to geriatric clients and their loved ones. Jennifer’s work in a community mental health clinic, in hospital psychiatric units, as well as group residential settings provided the unique opportunity to experience a deep understanding of mental illness, diagnosis, and treatment.
Jennifer utilizes an integrative approach, working together with clients to create a plan for finding relief from their emotional pain or distress by selecting from CBT, Interpersonal, and Existential theories. Mindfulness skills, Motivational Interviewing, and DBT Informed care techniques may be drawn from in order to meet the unique needs of clients.
