
Eugene Naughton

Mr. Eugene Naughton holds a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, and he is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC # 8944) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC # 283503) approved by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors. He provides individual, family, and group counseling services.
Mr. Naughton works with adults, teens, older children, and parents struggling with disruptive behavior at home.
Mr. Naughton understands that everyone has different needs, and he will tailor his approach based on your particular needs. Generally, he uses an empathic, cognitive, and mindfulness-based approach to help individuals with mood disorders, emotional disturbances, and problematic behavior. He is trained in Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy, a therapeutic approach designed to help those struggling with extreme mood swings and feelings of abandonment. Mr. Naughton is also trained in EMDR. All of the techniques used are empirically tested and shown to work.
Regarding problematic sexual behaviors: Two of Mr. Naughton’s specialties are the treatment of sexual addiction and/or problematic sexual behavior (such as uncontrollable use of pornography).
