Aimee was born and raised in High Point, NC and subsequently went on to earn her undergraduate degree and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counseling from East Carolina University in 2019. Aimee is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, and Nationally Certified Counselor who was featured in the first NBCC Visions Newsletter of 2024 titled “Considerations When Counseling Older Adults With Substance Use Disorder”. Aimee has experience in many avenues of counseling including SAIOP, hospice and bereavement, inpatient psychiatric, MAT, Federal probation programming, and outpatient psychotherapy. Aimee is an authentic, determined, and passionate therapist who guides you with a multifaceted therapeutic style that adapts to your needs. As a mental health, substance misuse, shadow work, and end-of-life services practitioner, Aimee assists clients through creative collaboration, facilitating and holding sacred space, and cultivating therapeutic experiences out of divine absurdity. Aimee happily serves clients with a rejuvenating new-age flair that centers on individual eclectic therapy, shadow work therapy, tarot and psychedelic integration therapy, couples and intimacy therapy, and end-of-life doula services. Aimee’s purpose is to foster the growth of others so they love who they see when they look in the mirror. Aimee specializes in working with adults and couples aged 18+ coping with mood disorders, addictions, dual diagnoses, life transitions, trauma, relationship issues, existential issues, and grief. She draws from evidence-based practices such as person-centered therapy, compassion-focused therapy, existential therapy, expressive arts therapy, journaling and narrative therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, reality and solution-focused therapies, somatic techniques, and shadow work therapy.
