Star has been working with youth and their families for over 5 years addressing a variety of mental health concerns before moving into private practice. Star is also certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for youth and adolescents. Star provides services to individuals and families.
Star recognizes that the therapeutic relationship must be developed with every client because each client is different and so is their journey of life. Star believes that genuine and supportive feedback is needed in every session. Star often utilizes Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, and Solution-Focused techniques, but tailors the therapeutic process to each specific client.
Star helps clients to build upon their strengths to develop resiliency and overall sense of self. Star focuses on teaching skills that can be useful outside the office setting and enable clients to become the person they desire to be. Star fully collaborates with the client instead of taking the lead with the client so that they can feel proud of the work they put in to get to their desired destination in life.
